Estimation of Flexural Strength of Plain Concrete from Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity

چکیده

The aim of this study is to propose mathematical expressions for estimation the flexural strength plain concrete members from ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV) measurements. More than two hundredpieces precast kerb units were subjected a scheduled test program. tests divided into categories; non-destructive and bending or rupture tests. For each unit, direct indirect (surface) pulses media measure their travel velocities. results mointered in graphs so that relationships can be drawn. Direct versus was given first relationship while second equation describes as function velocity. application these equations may extended cover assessment constructed in-situ concreting kerbstone any other units. Finally, relation between velocities predicted suggested employed case when one notavailable measured applications
